Water is a 30-50 year super trend
Forget hype, this is one of the longest structural trends you'll find. Macro trends matter, local action matters even more.
You know a famous saying from Warren Buffett said…
"The problem isn't that people want to get rich. It's that they don't want to get rich slowly."
Real wealth-building takes patience and time, most people reject it in favor of fast money.
Well, working in and for water is the same. Don’t panic if you feel you are missing out on a three-digit % increase because the headlines are all about other industries.
Water is also there, embedded. The backstage of the scene.
And now a 30–50 year super trend! ✨
I did not say that. this came directly from Alexander Loucopoulos, one of the finest members of our community, and one of the best at articulating the complexity of the water business in a way that many can understand easily.
Alex is #1 on our leaderboard (the one who helped us bring in more members who share our vision for the community) and it’s not about numbers: I would rather you bring in the people who really want to be better and share our values.

Alex also gave us a great opportunity by inviting us to New York last September to present our community at Rethinking Water (see a short behind-the-scenes video below). It's a highly recommendable gathering that is now expanding to more countries around the world.
So, as I was saying, I went to the gym walking last Sunday, after lunch, and played his conversation at Bloomberg in New York.
I recommend you listen to it: relax, no multitasking, find 30 minutes and listen, because you’ll frog-jump a few steps ahead in understanding our business.
The idea I want to build on is the one Alex mentioned about the gap between the macro and the local.
